OK, it's back, if a little tentatively at this early stage of the season. I am adopting the same approach as last season; check here if you are a new reader. Ratings/selections for this weekend are as follows: Saturday 13 September Arsenal v Portsmouth = 2.40; no bet Blackburn v Liverpool = 3.36; [email protected] Premierbet Bolton V Middlesbrough = 2.47; no bet Charlton v Man Utd = 2.58; no bet Chelsea v Tottenham = 2.69; no bet Everton v Newcastle = 3.42; [email protected] Bet365 Southampton v Wolves = 2.80; [email protected] Bet365 Sunday 14 September Birmingham v Fulham = 2.31; no bet Man City v Aston Villa = 2.58; no bet So only three selections look set for backing. Usual staking applies i.e. 5 point singles so 15 points staked this weekend out of a start bank of 100.

Week 1 - Results Blackburn v Liverpool OVER :) Everton v Newcastle OVER :) Southampton v Wolves OVER :( Well, 2 out of 3 is not bad and at least it's a winning start. Total staked this weekend = 15 points; total returned = 19.50; profit 4.50; average odds = 1.95. I'll work out the yield, strike-rate etc. when it starts to become a bit more meaningful!
