eyesallin
Re: Are you from the Sittingbourne, Kent area Here's an idea, why not start a Kent based home game league. Attempt to run one game each month, players of each game receive points for finishing position along with the normal cash prize with say the top 5 receiving points places totting up and going through to an annual home game final for the 10 players with the most points earnt over the year. Either roll over some of the funds from each game to increase the pool for the trophy final or simply up the stakes for the final game. Needs some thought and organising, depending on the numbers of interest we may need to hold more than one game each month, I for one could only set up one table for an evening or if the numbers are more than ten we could consider two seperate rounds on the same night, we usually have 2 - 3 games anyway. Depends what the intrest is, I'm up for it. To add a further twist if our colleagues up North done the same we could end up with a Nouth/South play off, we could even go regional, now that is a silly idea, but possible. Billboard
Re: Are you from the Sittingbourne, Kent area I've lived in Rainham for half my life (now in Dublin). Poker was abit thin on the ground barring pissed up games at a mates house after closing. I always ended up playing in London which is ache I know but if you're on for a big session I'd goto the Gutshot or Loose Cannon....hang it out till 5.00, breakfast, newpaper & train home on the 6.05 from Victoria....I've done that a fair few times. The only "local" organised action I can recall is in Ramsgate at the Casino....but I heard about this a couple of years back.
