Re: Where is best to play :welcome to PL. Im kinda new to the poker game too, However I will give you what I know. 'PokerTime' (http://www.pokertime.com/) give you $10 (Real money) to start off with free, If you can build on this for a while and play enough hands then it becomes withdrawable. :ok It takes a couple of days to be credited with the $10 though so stay cool. ;) There's loads of freerolls about, Sign up with PokerTrillion (http://www.punterslounge.com/forum/f17/all-welcome-500-affiliate-freeroll-69980/) Freeroll tomorrow night $500 and freerolls most days I think. (20:00 I think) Betfred have about 6 freerolls each days They can be found here, http://www.betfred.com/poker/d.asp?show=freds_daily_mtt_schedule#daily_freerolls Just register and download and your away (If you dont already have a sportsbook account) They also have beginner freerolls which you can enter for the first 3 months of your sign-ups. Bet365 (http://poker.bet365.com/LandingPage/) Also have beginner freerolls as far as I know, Again that is for 3 months. As for 'Play money' I find that a bit of a waste of time as your always get the odd muppet in each room going all in or calling/raising when they have nothing, Its just not the same. Freerolls also produce the odd muppet but far less then the play money. That's my basic knowledge anyway someone may know better. For the mean time, Enjoy. :ok

I fully agree but they normally from what i have seen already go all in to start with I am playing a freeroll tournament to advance to $2000 prize pool right now on pokerstars there was 8187 i'm still going with $31'000 chips after 2 hours with only 311 players left top 99 players advance to next round :nana:nana:nana so wish me luck i'll let ya know how i get on

Re: Where is best to play Hi mate and :welcome to the PL. My two cents worth is that play money tables are only worth playing to help you learn the basic rules of any game. Other than that the best place to try and build a bankroll is to search high and low for freerolls without a deposit requirement. In that respect Pokerstars is one of the worst places to try and build a bankroll from nothing because they don't need to give away a penny. The sites that are just starting out are the ones that seem prepared to give cash away in freerolls. My next piece of advice is to open an account with a popular e-wallet such as Neteller or Moneybookers. This will allow you (in time) to withdraw your freeroll winnings to a central fund. Make sure you check out the Daily Diary in Poker Tourneys for up and coming freerolls. As Spooner says there is a $500 freeroll on tomorrow night at Poker Trillion. The password has been posted in the tourney's forum by the Poker Trillion boss. Another piece of advice is to make sure you subscribe to poker magazines such as Flush, Inside Poker and Poker Player magazine. You can pick up cheap subscriptions for about £5 for a year but they generally prove to be a good investment as they offer high value, low (ish) entry freerolls. On Gnuf tomorrow night there is also a $500 freeroll that attracts around 1000 runners, and on Blue Square they run 10c STT's which cost nothing to enter. It would be possible (although it would take a long time) to build a bankroll playing these. One last piece of advice is, be prepared to download a lot of poker sites if you're serious about building a bankroll from nothing. It can be done (I did it myself - check out the stickies) but it takes a lot of dedication.

Re: Where is best to play :welcometo pl mhammond. i agree with valiants comments completely, especially regarding mags etc. just to give you an idea what you can win via a freeroll have a look at the personal best thread :loon there are a lot of players on here who have won well over $1000 on freerolls and one $100,000 winner. it's not easy obviously:eyes but it is possible :ok usually the poker tourneys section should alert you about most of the decent freerolls that are around ,so keep an eye on that. also by joining pl and contributing you will become eligable for some decent future freerolls:nana:nana. good luck at the tables:ok
