Dead heat odds ?

Hi all, Just a query for you to explain to me if possible. I backed a horse yesterday ( my only play of the day) and it finished in a dead heat, i think it was the 4.15 at Musslebourgh. Anyway, i had €40 on at 7/4 and i ended up with €55 in my account which means i made a profit of €15. Is this correct ? i thought it would be more Pablo

Re: Dead heat odds ? It's correct - I've been caught on this one before. The ruling is that you are paid to half of your stake (not half of the odds) and you are only returned half the stake. Therefore you had €20 @ 7/4, which returns €55.
