Summer Cash League <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Up to £5,000 Freeroll Tournament, at the Isle Casino in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Coventry. (maximum entries 100)

Players, who play cash poker at the IsleCoventry, will be able to qualify for the above Freeroll event. (£1/2 blinds or higher)

The promotion begins on July 7th @ 8.00 pm and runs till August 4th @ 6.00 pm

During the 4 weeks you need to clock up just 25 hours of play, to qualify for the Freeroll. The casino is putting in £50 per qualifier up to a max of 100. Basically you will be clocked in and out, and each hour you play goes towards the 25.

The NLHE Freeroll tournament starts with each player having 5,000 chips. BUT for every hour over the 25 you clock up, you get an extra 100 starting chips.

In the event that more than 100 players get over 25 hours then only the top 100 will be invited in to the Freeroll.

The cash games at the IsleIMO are fairly relaxed. I’ve played the £2/4 game a lot at the Broadway in Birmingham and compared to that, the Isle is a walk in the park.

The casino does not charge by the hour but takes a rake. They also take an additional £1 from any pot over £10 for the Bad Beat Jackpot. This is currently over £15,000 and the secondary pot is huge as well. IMO if you could play break even poker for 25 hours it’s got to be worth a go. Add to that, the chance of winning the Bad Beat Jackpot and it’s easy to see why I will not be playing at the Broadway while this event is on.

If you’ve never been to the Casino it’s definitely worth a look. It certainly would not be out of place in Vegas and is far better than the average casino in the UK.

The card room is ever improving with great facilities, plenty of room to get round the tables and is very wheelchair friendly. (Once you’ve gone down in the lift from reception the entire casino is on one level) The staff who are trying their best to make it an enjoyable place to play, are very approachable and the card room manager is willing to listen to the players.

The last promotion they ran was a league based on the tournament results, and was a great success.

The top 90 players (including yours truly) will be fighting it out in a Freeroll on Sunday 6th July for a prize pool of just under £7,000. The money used for the prize fund was all the £2 admin fees they’d collected over the 12 weeks of the league.

I know it’s quite normal for new card rooms not to charge admin fees or rakes when first starting off. But the Isle has been going quite a while now and it’s still giving great value to the players.

There cannot be many card rooms in the UK that offer more added value that this one. It deserves every success, and the numbers of players in the tournaments and cash games has steadily risen over the last 6 or 7 months.

If they had enough dealers it would certainly be a great venue for a Virgin Festival or even an EPT event.
