snyena
I have been fairly successful with backing a score to remain as it is until half-time 5 or 10 minutes before half-time. I don't have a large enough sample of bets to judge whether this was just a lucky run or I am actually betting on value (but the odds do seem to be too high at times). I have heard at least two different opinions about this type of betting: 1) The odds are too low (non-value) because many people will want to use this fairly safe tactics and they will bet no matter the odds. 2) The odds offer value because there are punters out there hoping for a change of score and a large profit and they don't calculate the odds they offer correctly. The truth probably lies somewhere in between, so it should in an ideal market. Does anyone have experience with this type of betting? Is it sustainable in the long run? It would be interesting to obtain some stats on how often the goals are scored and at what times, although I am not sure this information would be any useful for this type of betting (each game should be bet on its own merits depending on the circumstances, teams, etc).
