Re: Thirsk 01/07/08 Important News 7.50 Thirsk M Johnstone is currently 2nd most successful trainer at this course and is +£15.13 with his 3yr old runners. He only sends two horses this short 22 mile trip to Thirsk and this one showed some improvement on good to firm ground last time out over 7f and was only beaten 5 lengths. His horses often improve when handicapping and the extra 1f could be a plus. Will go on the ground and the race looks quite open. The favourite Montiboli has only been running in class 5 and class 6 races and I don't fancy it at 3-1. I'd rather have some win/place on Betfair on Important News.
