Re: Rugby League: Super League XIII - Round 19, NL & France vs England Thanks for including the national leagues aswell Kev, I am taking far more interest in these divisions recently and doing a lot more homework on them. Just a few points on certain games that take my interest. Leeds v Castleford As a lot of people know and the bookies have reacted to it, Leeds have a few players playing in the international this week and will be depleted for this game. Having said that giving up 14 start for a side with half a team and some very good youngsters, who will play to impress, I don't think will be enough. Castleford are awful away from home, bar the Warrington win and Leeds will be hurting after last weeks game and will have revenge on their mind from when they were beaten by Cas. I am just going to hang on until I see the team, if it is fairly strong then I will still back Leeds. St Helens v Huddersfield Again the same applys to the above, but Huddersfield have all their players back for this apart from Kevin Brown, who has lost his form. I watched them last week with loads out against Harlequins and they really are working for each other since Jon Sharpe left. We have a decent record against St Helens also and with the weather forecast dodgy for Sunday and Saints rarely beat anyone in the rain, I am taking the +14 start here. Also after beating Leeds last week they could play flat. The coach has already said they are aiming for the top 2 and winning it is not everything. Huddersfield +14 10/11 5pts National leagues. Doncaster v Workington I really fancy Doncaster tomorrow, who I rate as a very good side. Workington lost to a very poor, depleted Hunslet side last week at home, even though they were big favourites. Also cumbrian sides don't travel very well. Also the weather forecast is said to be o.k. My only slight reservation is that Doncaster play in the northern rail cup final in 2 1/2 weeks time and may have one eye on that. But I am going to look past that as I do like the bet. Doncaster -18 10/11 2 pts Oldham v Gateshead The Gateshead coach stated today that they had played 6 games in a very short space of time and he would be giving a few players a rest for the next couple of weeks as they really need a break. So I will be doing Oldham on the handicap in a double with the above. Oldham -6 10/11 and Doncaster -18 10/11 3pts double On the international game I like to watch these until half time before forming any view, but I certainly would not back England - 14, most of the French team is made up from the Catalans side who are doing really well and high on confidence, add that to playing at home and I would rather lean towards them, they could even win the game and I would not put anyone off taking the 5/1 to do so. Those are my views. I may post more later before the games start, when I can get more team news and weather forecasts for Sunday.
