Steele Simple Home System

Recommended Posts

Just re-read Joe's book, and came across again the simple Paul Steele 'Match Rating' system, whereby two teams last 6 games goal differences are added together, to give a match rating. The table in Joe's book, provides a match rating table with fair odds for each team. It only seems to work with home teams, and games where match ratings is in the range of +5 to -5. Joe has data for a tested system in 2001/02 season. With a yield of 5.35% for the range of -5 to +5. This was using best odds from 6 bookmakers (not sure which ones) Fair odds (all for home team) (-4) 2.49+ (-2) 2.31+ (0) 2.15+ (+2) 2.02+ (+4) 1.90+ Had a look the last couple of weeks, the only problem is there seems to be lots of bets, although it does seem like you can get some decent odds about. Gonna give it a go anyway, i think i seem to have everything right, last couple of weeks just looked at it with interest, and seems to have gone ok. Will post the ones for this weekend tommorow probably. Gonna start with a 200 pt bank, and 5 pts a bet every time.
