Danehill Destiny - (Windsor 2nd / Good) A smart filly from the Haggas yard that showed up well backed odds on favourite in Prolific. Danehill Destiny took the rail and raced keenly in the early stages but led around the 2f mark when she was asked a question from Prolific and Shryl but they couldn’t find any ground as the filly showed a smart turn of foot to prevail and looks like she could be decent. Rising Shadow – (Ripon 3rd / Good to Soft) A grand old servant for the Wilson yard who showed its still got a good run up its sleeve with a decent effort here. Held up at the back with a decent pace set by Bel Cantor, When approaching the 2f pole it looked an unlikely winner until Quinn found and gap through the middle and said go in which Rising Duly obliged coming from last to first and a smart winner. This performance shows there’s quite a few races left in the old boy that beat a progressive horse in Valery Borzov. Exit Smiling – (Ripon 4th / Good) A solid performer is Exit Smiling who was a 20-1 winner here. After finishing distressed last time out at Southwell he was given a 6 week break and has come back to pick up where he left off climbing the handicap. Held up at the back and was always travelling well when putting in a challenge at the 2f pole which was quite impressive leaving the rest of the field behind going away very readily. Twilight Star – (Sandown 5th / Good) The ex Godolphin horse put in a classy effort here which could see him landing possibly a listed event in the future. Held up towards the back and racing somewhat keen, Ted Durcan switched him right inside the final 3 and the horse put in a solid effort towards home, leading 2f out with a few challengers Twilight Star held on grimly. Whiskey Junction (Bath 6th / Good to Firm) A horse that looks to be going the right way after missing his 3yo campaign in 2007. Jumping up in class and distance here from a minor maiden win it was always going to be a test but one in which it passed. Broke out from the wide draw well to lead and dictate the pace when he went clear over 1f out to be challenged by Cheveton who looked to have Whiskeys number but that weren’t the case with a gutsy will to win Whiskey fought hard for the win. Look Here (Epsom 6th / Good) A really smart winner here for Ralph Beckett who was only a few milli seconds outside the time recorded by Soldier of Fortune who won the Corination Cup beforehand which really puts the run into perspective. The 33-1 winner was held up in midfield and was making eye catching progress over 3f out, Seb found the space and went for home she found plenty the filly putting her rivals to bed in decisive fashion. A lot to come from this filly given this was just her 3rd race and how she went about winning. Redford (Doncaster 7th / Good) Quite an impressive performance here from Redford who could well be running in Group races soon. Away well and pulling hard in the early stages Hayley Turner just held up Redford off the pace, always travelling well Redford come cruising up to lead inside the 2 but was a shade disappointing when asked to go win the race but he battled on gamely. Conduit (Epsom 7th / Good to Firm) A fantastic win from Conduit and this will be his last run in a handicap. Ryan Moore had the task of getting this home and was still sitting last 3 furlongs out about 12 lengths of the lead when Ryan switched for a run on the outside and he began to pick up impressively, catching the winner at the furlong pole then kicking another 6 lengths clear. This horse could be very good indeed and no better trainer to be with then Stoute. Princess Elis (Musselburgh 7th / Good to Firm) A very nice win indeed from Princess Elis here that was very quick out the stalls and made all without really being challenged. Could well be picking up a few decent races soon. Gee Ceffyl Bach (Newcastle 7th / Good) A very tidy win by Richard Guests filly that should really go on from here to better class races. She was away well when Dale Gibson took her over to the stands side with one other runner. Always travelling nicely and led over 1f out she came home very strongly uphill to take the race. Kiwi Bay (Redcar 10th / Good to Firm) A cheap purchase out of Mujahid, Kiwi Bay looks to be a progressive colt after his convincing win here. Ridden confidently by Tony Hamilton the horse was travelling well and made his impression 1f out when he kicked clear to leave his rivals a good 5 lengths behind. There’s definitely some talent here and should go on from this. Daaweitza (Chester 10th / Firm) Despite being 5 Daaweitza looks like he’s going the right way under Elison. A eye catching win here with a very strong challenge put down 1 out with Guilambert dropping his whip this didn’t stop the horse from taking a well earnt win. In good form and I can’t see this regressing any time soon. Scuffle (Nottingham 11th / Good) A scopey filly by Daylami out of the Charlton yard. It was only her 3rd run of her career she showed a gutsy performance. Racing keenly Drowne settled her well tracking the leaders and she took the lead from 2 out which turned into a personal battled between Lindelaan in which she came out on top fighting well for a smart win. A lot to come from this filly and could well pick up a listed win or better this season. Capucci (Newbury 12th / Good) An expensive purchase for the Gosden yard out of Kings Best who hadn’t shown much in Maiden Company but showed some talent putting in a nice effort here off top weight in Handicap Company. Equipped with a first time tongue tie he hit the front from 2 out and held on strongly from a good ride by Drowne. Still showing signs of inexperience I feel Capucci is heading the right way with a good win here today. Crete (Sandown 13th / Good) A lightly raced 6 year old from the Haggas yard who has had numerous niggling problems looks to be on the right road after beating some progressive rivals here. Held up in touch Michael Hills got a nice tuned out of this horse that was always travelling strongly and when asked the question 1 furlong from home Crete shot clear up the Sandown hill with a nice turn of foot leaving his rivals 4 lengths behind. There’s still something to come from this horse and could be picking up a few decent handicaps soon. Corrybrough (Sandown 14th / Good) What a nice sort this is who just keeps getting better and better with each run. Spotted in the April Watch this horse has come on leaps and bounds in 2 runs and a Group class horse now for sure with another convincing win here today. Facing some familiar rivals Ryan Moore Held Corrybrough up in rear and laid down a strong challenge inside the 2 furlongs catching the winner with ease and going away at the end. Corrybrough always takes a while to get going and may be tested at 6 furlongs after a deserved break. Decameron (York 14th / Good to Firm) A nice Stoute 3 year old out of a Breeders Cup winner Theatrical who won this Maiden comfortably. Under the ride of McEvoy Decameron hit the front early and made all with no challengers inside 2 furlongs. Handicap Company beckons and given this was his 3rd run there was signs of ability albeit in a weak contest and could pick up some decent wins in the future. Musaalem (Doncaster 15th / Good to Firm) A grey colt by Aljabr who looks to have a lot of ability on this showing. Dropping back to 6 furlongs after 2 successful wins at 7 Martin Dwyer got a good position tracking the leaders on the stands side and led around 2f then asserted its class by winning comfortably staying on very well at the end and looks like further would be ideal. Soft Shoe Shuffle (Salisbury 15th / Good to Firm) This Half sister to Leporello could be a nice filly from the Swinburn yard that had a lot to do from some way out and dug out the win. Racing keen in the early stages Kirby held the filly up at the rear and was looking an unlikely winner 3 out but found the required turn of foot at classy horse has by hunting down the winner 1 furlong out and kicking clear up a testing hill leaving the 3rd horse 7 ½ lengths behind. I thought the nature of the win was impressive and could go on to do well in future. Dear Maurice (Windsor 16th / Firm) A problematic 2 and 3 year old looks like he’s got to grips with the sport rounding up a double here at Windsor. The colt by Indian Ridge who was held up in midfield found little room around 3 out and was taken on the outside by Moore and rallied home staying on strongly in the final furlong suggesting that further could be ideal. A promising and expensive colt that should be moving on to bigger and better things. *Updates to follow* I consider these horses to have set solid bits of form and is worth watching over the races and backing a few who run behind. Horse's will only run to optimum conditions and have added the track and ground conditions for you.
