melvinh
I have been working on this since March and have had 200 bets so far showing a 25% increase in my betting bank. The key is to look for value - no value - no bet. Here we go. My selections come for the naps tables in the sporting press, I only use those tipsters in profit. Their selection is graded against the others in the race: I only bet in races of 8 or less runners. For each horse I will grade according to revious runs, jockey/trainer, C&D & position in the betting using only the racecard. Each horse is a rating from zero (no chance) to one point (big threat) using one quarter, one half, three quarters & one point. I add this up and what ever they add up to is the price I want for my selection. Example: 5 horse race. My selection is 2/1 EP The other 4 horses are graded 1/4 + 3/4 + 1/4 + 1/4 = 1.5 (6/4) I race my selectio at 6/4 the EP is 2/1 so we have value and bet level stakes. My current strike rate is 29% and my bank 25% up. Any questions I am happy to help Good luck Melvinh :cheers
melvinh
Re: Value System Today (Sunday) for example; 3-30 Newmarket Selection 3 Love Galore. Value price 5/2. Early Price 3/1. Level Stakes bet. No 1: Better Hand 1/4 chance No 2: Bronze Cannon 1 full point (Major Chance) No 3: Love Galore - my selection No4: Woodfall Treasure 1/2 chance No5: Almoutaz 1/2 chance No6: Bencoolen 1/4 chance 1/4 + 1 + 1/2 + 1/2 + 1/4 = 2.5 (5/2) It may not win but I feel I have a value price and if my strike rate remains somewhere near 25% I will make money. Good luck
melvinh
Re: Value System Just 1 possible today; 3:35 Cartmel: Stagecoach Opal; Value price 9/4 - if you cannot get 9/4 then don't be tempted. Good luck.

melvinh
Re: Value System Today's value rests with Mae Cigan in the 3-30 at Leicester. I have this as a 2/1 chance. Betfred have it as an 11/4 chance. Time to dip our bread in. Yesterday we took 9/4 on a 7/4 chance which was touch off in a photo.

melvinh
Re: Value System 2 fit into my criteria today; 2:30 GL Lord of the Reins: Value Price 7/4 Early Price 5/2. 3:25 Cartmel. Commanche Topgun: Value Price 1/2 Early Price 13/8. I have heard a big whisper for Many Volumes (3:35 GL) however I feel 5/4 is too short, I would be looking somewhere nearer 7/4 before I go anywhere near. Don't forget, value is the key to sucess! melvinh
Re: Value System You will need to read my first post, I did not spend time putting this on for you to take this p***. Tell you what - I won't bother, do what you want! :moon
Gingertipster
Re: Value System The name of this thread got me interested. Has Melvin given up? You did say any questions you are happy to help. Shame to let one tongue in cheek remark put you off mate. Had so many questions about your "value" selection. Ginge
