wageringwar Posted May 22, 2008 Posted May 22, 2008 Just wondering what the forum's Irish members made of Chris McGrath's strange attack on Jim Bolger's choice of Classics in The Independent at the weekend (scroll down to 'Lush joins an equine Curragh mutiny' at this link). Quote
Gingertipster Posted May 23, 2008 Posted May 23, 2008 Re: Bizarre attack on Jim Bolger Have not read it but.... It is crazy not to run them Lush Lashes and New Approach at Epsom. Particularly the former. Well balanced filly who has the form to win it, bred to stay the trip. In form and acts on the likely going. What more do you want? If she waits for the Irish Derby she may not be in such good form then. Strike while the iron is hot! Still think she will run myself. There may be more to New Approach not running than meets the eye. Bred to stay, or at least has a better chance than not. Is known to get a bit on edge in the past and Epsom could bring out the worst in him (often does with such horses). Bolger possibly thinks his horse will boil over at Epsom. Though did nothing wrong on Guineas day. Go on Jim, if he comes out of tomorrows race o.k. go for it, you know you want to. He who dares wins! Ginge Quote
