McCartney 2.40 York (WIN) McCartney has won up to 1m and looks suited by good to firm ground, disappointed on gd-sft in the Dewhurst but looks likely to come on this season and may appreciate this trip, moved from Johnstone to Godolphin. It looked really impressive when winning a Gp2 in September 07. Ryan Moore also had good words for the horse:

He has killed them and you can't knock that performance. He's a tough horse, settled beautifully, kept galloping and quickened up well - I got a nice run through the race. He's right up there with the two-year-olds I've ridden this year and I don't see why he couldn't be a Guineas horse although he may be more of a ten-furlong type in time. I just thought he might be more of a staying type than a speed horse but I don't know the horse very well as it's the first time I've ridden him - Ryan Moore.

The slight worry would be Godolphins form and this wintering process that doesn't seem to work. Saying that it should not be 12-1, that is a steal.
