Carte Diamond 2.45 Chester (EACH WAY) I remember Fintron flagging this one up last time out and asking what chances it had. I was at Doncaster and thought it ran a fine race after nearly 3 years off the track, still shows some signs of ability. The Last Drop re opposes and that was pulled up last time out. Soapy Danger has turned out sine but was only 4th and Come On Jonny has run and was last. Form of the race looks nothing special but the performance caught the eye and made me note it as one to follow. Distance should be no problem and it won on good to firm in 2005. Does not have proven group form but may have got it during those 3 years off the track had it not been injured. Trainer still rates it highly and at 16-1 looks like a decent each way bet. Hanagan rides for the 1st time and it has Group 2 and Group 1 entries. Likely to be held up in touch and could be one for those in running if it makes a move about 2f out.

Re: Best Bet Of The Day - Fri 09/05/08 3.15 Chester Piscean - Each Way Don't normally like backing horses up in class but think this one has a chance of a place ---- hopefully. There should be plenty of pace in this race which could play into the selections hands (hooves?!) as a hold up horse. Will definitely need to improve to figure but think he could be capable, will have needed the run LTO (he improved after his racecourse debut) and can hopefully finish like a train. Ground no probs. :hope
