I like to follow trainers who have good records at certain tracks in certain types of races and because of the amount of racing of a Bank Holiday and different sports that can be bet on this day, I find that some horses who fit into this category can get under the radar and hence much better prices can be sought! Kalokairi 5.15 Warwick RP @3.75 - NAP Trained by John Dunlop who has a great record at the track for his 3 year olds - 9 wins from 25 runners - 36% strike rate It's Dunlop's only runner at the track today! and is a 3 year old!!! Brought along the usual route towards handicaps by Dunlop and last time it showed it's best form being stepped up in distance from previous exploits finishing 4th over 10 F on it's first start of this season, running on at the finish all too late in the day. Today it's stepped up to a trip that I believe will be it's ideal trip to 12 F judged on it's effort last time out. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Indian Art 2.00 Kempton RP @4.50 Richard Hannon's team are ticking along nicely and it's evident to me looking at this first time out 2 year old that a big run is expected! Hannon is one of the top trainers for the track and it's significant that this is his only horse here today at the track! This horse is entered up in some fancy races later on in the season: St Leger Yearling Stakes £300000 at York in August Weatherbys Insurance Stakes £300000 at Doncaster in September 85,000gns half-brother to high-class sprinter Perryston View and the subject of very favourable report in Stable Tour last week; merits plenty of respect. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Dawn Sky 3.35 Windsor RP @6.50 Again another yard just getting in to top gear! Michael Jarvis perseveres with this one even after it was turned over twice last year at odds on! It has since been gelded and this could be the making of this quirky animal. Again Jarvis is one of the top trainers for the track especially in the 4 + years and older and this being a 4 year old and it being Jarvis's only runner at this meeting today! Phillip Robinson stable jockey for Jarvis also rides when he could have gone to Kempton for 2 rides with outstanding chances Khateeb in the 4.00 and Russian Epic in the 5.00 this signals to me that this could run a big race today! ----------------------------------------------------------------------- The above horses are the ones that stick out for me today so far and I will probably post anymore later who I feel should possibly win or run a big race.
