The final leg of the APAT Regional Championship will be played live at fourteen casinos across the United Kingdom on May 17th, with the Newcastle event taking place a week earlier on May 10th. Entry Buy-ins will be available direct from the casinos on the day of play, or via pre-registration (through phone or by calling into the casino) seven days prior to the event being played. All seats are allocated subject to availability. Please confirm casino opening time and event start time with your local casino when pre-registering your event as times are subject to change. Generally, the casinos open at 12.30pm, with play starting at 2.30pm. The entry fee will be £20.00 and the events will be registration fee free. Tournaments Regional Championship events will hold a maximum of 80 players. Players will start each event with 3,000 chips and the event will run to an APAT Regional structure. Some of the events will be completely dealer dealt, however as a minimum the final table will be dealer dealt, so players should come prepared to self deal for a significant part of the tournament. Prizes The top nine players will win APAT Ranking Points. If you finish in the top nine, please ensure the casino notes your name for points allocation. The top three in each Regional Championship event will win Gold, Silver & Bronze Medals. The top 10% of finishers will gain a £75 entry to the Irish Amateur Poker Championship from the prize pool. The event is being held in Dublin on June 14th & 15th. The top 10% of finishers will gain a share of the remaining prize pool. All monies will be paid out. Additional Notes Refunds will not be offered where seats to National events are won and then not claimed. Players will have the option to advertise their seat for sale on the APAT Seat Exchange board at face value. APAT will only ratify seat exchanges that have gone through this board. Contact [email protected] in all cases. Due to a scheduling clash with the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour, APAT Regional leg 5 will take place at Grosvenor Newcastle one week before all other venues. In the spirit of APAT, players will be able to participate at Grosvenor Newcastle and one other leg 5 event if they choose. However, players will not be able to claim two sets of Ranking points or two National Championship seats. A player's single best result will count should either eventuality occur. Players will be able to claim prize money and medals at either event. Re: May 17th Final leg of the Regionals (10th for Newcastle) hi guys, well me and 4 others went along to DTD to play in the qualifier on saturday, with 50 pre regged on friday night we thought this would probably be a full 80 by the time this started on saturday but to our surprise only 35 started the tourney. With only top 4 getting paid and winning seat it was gonna be tight and after about 45 mins 1 of us was out my mate grib was 2nd out :sad 4 0f us left and after about 4 hours play were down to the final table me (lou saban)kev, and mark all make it and after about another hour its bubble time and were all still there and then unfortunately for lou she goes out on the bubble when her 77 is beat by AQ by mark,so out of 5 of us 4 made it to FT and 4 of the last 5 not bad eh,back to the poker kev is next to go when is 10 10 is squashed by my AJ suited when i hit my flush but hes happy with a seat for dublin and £60,i,m next when my 33 loses to A9 when mark catches a 9 on the turn not bad £92 and a seat for dublin, then mark comes 2nd when is kj loses to a3 he won about £115 and his seat for dublin so all in all a good day out. P.S we had dealers which was excellent Would just like to add how impressive DTD is its an excellent cardroom and very well run and cant wait for the PL world series which is already advertised there on there boards. Who else is going to dublin? Is it expensive to get there and stay there?any info would be very helpful many thanks karl :ok

Re: May 17th Final leg of the Regionals (10th for Newcastle) Directions – Dublin Airport & Ferry If you are coming by air: Take a taxi from Dublin International Airport approximately €40. If you are coming by ferry: Take a taxi from the City Centre at about €25. Thats around €50 a day to and from the hotel mate, and the dates of the irish national are quite expensive for elsewhere Oh and €4.50 a pint....no ta!
