Hi there i wonder if anyone could help me...? After seeing Mr A's thread before about backing 0-0 lays i was hoping to start and try do the same thing. Ive been looking on betfair this evening and this is what ive seen and i wonder if this is correct? Everton v Aston Villa Want to do a 0-0 lay Odds on offer (11) So i get to the Payout/Liability screen and it tells me that for my £5 stake i would win £55 if the score is anythink but a 0-0 draw and my liability is £50 - so that means i would lose £50 if it finishes 0-0? Am i doing this right. sorry to bother you all. Just wanted some tips or advice Dan

Re: 0-0 Layin on Betfair... HELP NEEDED PLZ!! Okay, for £5, at odds of 11, you would win £55 should you back that score, but you are laying against odds of 11, so would gain far less than that. Betfair allows you to select how much you wish to win, when you place a lay. This is then multiplied through by the current odds (10 in this case (odds (11) -1)) to give you your overall liability (money you would lose, should you pick a correct score) So if you wish to Lay £5 against odds of 11, you would enter £0.50 into the Backer's Stake box. (For Backing/laying under £2, see http://www.betexchangetips.com/Betfair-Minimum-Bet.html ) This would mean you are currently liabile for £5, and stand to win a further £0.50 should 0-0 not occur = Total outcome (if successful): £5.50 If you wish to bet with £50 as opposed to £5, then just scale the whole process up. Hope this helps, if it doesn't watch some Demo's on Betfair, good luck!! :ok
