I'll be having a decent bet on Ivestar in the 15.05 at Southwell in the 6 runner maiden. I've put a line through the last 3 in the betting as I don't think they are anywhere near the selection. The Dandy Nicholls trained Ivestar ran well LTO in a class 4 last September, and only lost by a short head over the same distance. That race hasn't panned out too badly at all and some of the animals that finished down the card have gone on to have reaosnable winters. His main rival imo, Golden Penny, also comes from a winter layoff so thats one worry less, and it had 7 chances last year and failed to get his head in front. If fit after the layoff, I think Ivestar can win this, from Golden Penny. 3.05 Southwell - BACK Ivestar WIN

Re: Southwell - Tuesday 1st April Was also looking at a lay of Bennadonner in the 3.45 as not sure he will go on the fibresand of Southwell (this his is AW debut) so instead, I'm just having a little dabble E/W on Silver Hotspur. A course specialist, who's trainer is on a decent run of form (3 from last 10), he has been running and winning consistantly, indeed he 6-1-2 from 11 runs here. This is his stiffest test he has ever faced so i won't be surprised if he finds 1 or too better, but at the price, with 3 places paid, in a race with many AW debuts, I'll take an E/W Punt. 4.45 Southwell - BACK Silver Hotspur E/W
