christelfordwigan
Tour D'amour Now you may look at this horse on face value and say shouldnt be in the frame today, but i like to think otherwise. Now Has been racing over a 1 mile trip, which i certainly didnt think was up this horses street. Drops back today to the best suited 7f. Now i take a look at the speed ratings over the trips from all of the runners and here is how they pan out for 7f, bearing in mind Tour D'amour raced over 7f prior to the step up to a mile. Tour D'amour - 60 Sion Hill - 51 The Geester - 48 Guadaloup - 47 The rest are all 45 and below for this distance, making them class 7 horses. I now compare the horses speed ratings for there 7f journeys to there BHB handicap mark and this horse today is 2 lbs well in, and then also has taken another 4lbs drop since that. Kelly Harrison takes off another 5 lbs so in fact im looking at a horse that today based on trip and BHB rating that is around 11lbs well in. Thats alot. Not won since 2006 but put in many decent performances, has afew course and distance scalps to her name and this is a race this horse is capable of winning. Tour D'Amour - 14/
