Re: Heads Up Matchday Reports Fonzie1411 leads with 40 points Fonzie1411 wins the 16th round and loses the 17th, maintaining his lead position with 40 points. The 17th round sees a dramatic showdown between superbell100 and PLsmithylfc. Richlizzard and PL_Dodger lose twice in a row and are relegated to runner-up position with 36 points. After 17 rounds of the English eSport-Poker HeadsUp league, Fonzie1411 has leapt ahead and is now at the top of the league table with 40 points. Fonzie1411 scored yet another victory against direct rival GazBlades9 in the 16th round held last Tuesday. A subsequent loss against PL-wallg in the 17th round was not enough to stop his momentum, and Fonzie1411 is now 4 points ahead of his closest rivals in the runner-up position. Thursday´s 17th round set the scene for a dramatic showdown between players superbell100 and PLsmithylfc on table 8. In the 21st minute, the chip ratio stood at 2570:430 in PLsmithylfc´s favour. Nothing much happened till superbell100 moved all in with a hand of QC-6S on the river. Superbell100 hoped to win with a 3 of a kind, combining his queen of clubs with the community cards QS-QH-7H-8S-JC. PLsmithylfc was however able to form a straight with hole cards 9H and TC, thus leaving the table with a second consecutive victory. Meanwhile, on table 1, the duel between pokermbe and SPSlick Mick had also finished just a minute earlier. Pokermbe moved all in before the flop with a hand of TD-7S, and hit a pair of tens on the river. SPSlick Mick, on the other hand, was able to form a three of a kind with a JS hole card and another two jacks on the table. Mick´s victory earned him another 3 points, and after losing against BurnleyJoe in the 16th round, he now stands among the runners-up with 36 points. On table 4, in the 17th minute, the chip ratio was pretty well balanced between direct rivals PLheniek and GazBlades9, when PLheniek moved all in before the flop on a hand of AS-QH. The community cards proved to be of no use to either of the players, and in the end it was GazBlades9´s pair of nines which won the round. On table 9, Dave488 beat richlizzard after 28 minutes, after losing against YanZihao on table 10 in the 16th round. PL_Dodger lost out to Mr Intensity on table 2 after 12 minutes. This was both PL_Dodger´s and richlizzard´s second consecutive loss, ranking both of them among the runners-up with 36 points.

Re: Heads Up Matchday Reports

Is the missing game getting played as not exactly fair that some have got points for that round and others have got nothing through no fault of there own?:unsure
I assume so Dave. If you read the match report in post 62 it reads as if the scores from matchday 8 are not there. :ok

Re: Heads Up Matchday Reports

Fonzie needs one more win to guarantee top spot' date=' Me and Dodger need two wins to tie if he loses one of the last two games. Though the last game is between me and Dodger.[/quote'] Doesn't matter though does it - this is just to qualify for the next stage?

Only god knows what eSport would do though, I think we should just hope it doesn't happen:lol:hope

This, of course, is the next concern. The next round seems to be a knockout which gives the advantage to players who haven't played so well over the 19 weeks of the league. For example if the player who finished 16th gets 1 lucky game against the player who finished 1st it makes a mockery of the league.

Re: Heads Up Matchday Reports Just found this on e-sport website After a total of 19 days of playing, the best 8 players of the English eSport-Poker HeadsUp league are sent off to play at European level in the HeadsUp PlayOffs. There, the best 8 players from each of the closed HeadsUp leagues (Germany, England and Spain) meet to play for the title of best European SinglePlayer.
