Disappointed

Recently I have been disappointed in how few threads on PL are about racing (not betting). It seems 99% of threads are members opinions of who is going to win a particular race. I have no problem with these threads, but doesn't anyone have any views on racing politics, what could make racing better? What is wrong with racing? Any opinions or better still answers? There was a thread on another website about the problems with the second last on Cheltenham's old course, outstanding stuff, really got the brain working. Yet when I asked the same question here there was only one response from Bowles. May be I did not ask it in the right way. Also, what are the important aspects of form study? The thread by Mowgli about pace in the race eventually got started but few got envolved.

Re: Disappointed Punterslounge is not just a horse racing forum though, i've seen discussions on racing forums that go on for pages and pages but ATR is just a small section of a huge betting forum. Some people stay in the poker sections, some people just use General Chat, many only post in the football sections. There are the same old faces on here and you will find the same people participating in discussions, some just want to put a selection up or try follow someone and find a winner, it's their prerogative and their choice. As an example I thought about starting a thread on flat maiden races and to discuss how many are won by favourites and how many are won by horses 1st time out or on their 2nd run. Maybe i'll start it and maybe a few will join in. :ok
