Negus De Beaumont 2.05 (WIN) Ran well enough on chase debut and only lost out by 1 length but needed the run and should be winning today despite going off likely favourite. Last run was on heavy, jumped well enough and will be fitter and more experienced for that outing. Main danger will possibly be Money Trix but that looks like it may need the run after 649 days off the track. Has winning form over the trip and won here on its only appearance.

Re: Best Bet Of The Day - 16/01/08 1.00 Newcastle Double Default Looks the one to beat after performing well over hurdles makes his chasing bow. 2nd behind the useful Chief dan George twice last season and then a nice double shows Double Default should take to chasing. Both wins on this ground and trip should suit.
