Daily Selections Negus De Beaumont 2.05 Ran well enough on chase debut and only lost out by 1 length but needed the run and should be winning today despite going off likely favourite. Last run was on heavy, jumped well enough and will be fitter and more experienced for that outing. Main danger will possibly be Money Trix but that looks like it may need the run after 649 days off the track. Has winning form over the trip and won here on its only appearance.

Re: Newcastle 16/01/08 Snap. From my own thread: NEGUS DE BEAUMONT - Newcastle - 2.05 Progressive type who can handle the the ground, having won easily on soft before. Was a prolific winner over hurdles last season, getting his head infront 5 times. Made a good impression on his chasing debut last month, and should come on for that. The conditions are ideal and a big run is forecast tomorrow. The main danger is Money Trix, but I feel that the selection should have too much for it in these conditions. NEGUS DE BEAUMONT - 5pts WIN
