Re: Wolverhampton 28/12 I've had a look at the 8.25 race and here's my assessment of the 9 runners:- Grimes Faith - Wrong distance and out of form with a disappointed run lto, yet not eased either in class or mark. Mr Lambros - Shown strong signs of coming to hand lto, and now dropped 3lb allowing it to compete in a 0-75 race, dropped in class too and well drawn. Trainer had a winner at Lingfield today. Back In The Red - Out of form, doesn't seem to stay this trip. Royal Challenge - Trainer in cracking form. However struggled off similar mark lto after easy win previous to that. May need a little help from the handicapper. Parkview Love - Another trainer in form and off a reasonable mark but all its best form is at 7f. Memphis Man - Due to go up 3lb after today. Running well although a disappointing effort 2 starts ago to forget about. Back to best trip today and should go close. Norcroft - Ignore last run when had a terrible draw. Previous to that, a good win under this pilot off a 2lb lower mark. 44 day absence a negative and this race may just be a little too competitive. Strabinios King - Best race it has contested, yet still struggling to put its head in front. Finishes its races well at a definite fav to be opposed. Hills Of Lujain - 3lb lower than pleasing lto run. However, looked better when stepped up to 7f so may need another furlong. Conclusion I'd completely discount Grimes Faith and Back In The Red. The 2 on the shortlist are Mr Lambros and Memphis Man, with preference for the former E/W at the current prices. My 1-2-3 would be:- 1 Mr Lambros 2 Memphis Man 3 Norcroft / Royal Challenge
