Am fairly new to the cash game world and finding it a totally different ball game to my usual MTT/STT. I want to post some HH and get people's thoughts :ok Have won some hands where I shoud'nt even be in the pot :\ and won hands through good play :ok Finding it a totally new experiance so will post some HH and ask for feedback please people :ok

Re: Gazza's cash hands Bugger, only seems to show last 100 hands :wall My biggest pot tonight can be seen in poker chat for about $200 :nana:nana Would appriciate any comments on hands above :ok I will endeavor to post a mixture of winning and losing hands and await feedback :ok. Just remember I am new to cash games so be gentle with me ;) altho I am lookinh for advice and debate :ok

Re: Gazza's cash hands Was a little pi$$ed last night and after some good winning sessions decided to sit down at the $2/$4 tables for 10 minutes to see what it was like. Bought in for the maximum $400. Only played 6 hands I think, felt out of my depth and a bit intimidated by the other guys balances ! Re: Gazza's cash hands I'm no expert Gazza, but I think you played all the above hands well. :ok With the 9's, I would have put a pot sized bet post flop but also wouldn't call the all-in. Jacks are a pain in the :moon to play. I would personally just have re-raised rather than go all-in, but the all-in is a valid move. The J5 is an obvious fold. With the AQ, my only concern with the check on the river is that it allows your opponent to bluff the river. If he had put in a bet of $150, would you have called it? I would have been tempted to put a blocker bet of about $100 in. Good start though mate:clap

Re: Gazza's cash hands Gazza, I see you are playing 5 handed on Boss :eyes 99 is a massive hand 5 handed and 4 x BB raise is good, when you get re-raised IMO you have 2 options 1) decide your hand maybe not that good and FOLD 2) you need to define your hand and RE-RAISE For me a call is not an option in cash games as you dont know where you sit coming into the flop. You don't know whether he has AK or 77, a re-raise would have got you more information. It comes a low flop it is obvious he hasn't a 6 or a 2, so he could hold anything from 77 to AA, you have to fold. if he was holding 77, 88, 10 10, AK, AQ he may have folded pre flpo to a re raise. With the JJ you hold the 4th best hand in poker! what is there to worry about and you are 5 handed. Again 4 x BB is standard but you have to get used to not calling a raise in cash RE-RAISE or FOLD. A re-re-raise preflop would have got a fold, a call (means you are ahead), a further raise meaning he could have QQ, KK, AA in this case call then check the flop (unless a J falls) and then be wary he's playing a bigger hand.

Re: Gazza's cash hands Totally agree with WASP here although I don't like to comment on stakes much above my own. Another thing that can help is using Pokertracker to determine the players who are 3 betting you light here, as I imagine there will be many at these stakes. As you don't want to be 3-betting someone who raises less than 10% of their range with anything less than premiums. Also agree with what WASP has said about 6 handed rather than 5 handed in another thread. I imagine you play in the blinds has to be a lot better at 5 handed and you definitely would have to be prepared to 3 bet light a lot I guess.
