Re: Euro Hockey Leagues 22-23/11 Färjestad - Djurgården The home team are easily the hottest team in Elitserien right now. They had it rough before the break for Karjala Cup but apparently that was exactly what they needed to re-group. In the three games after the break they have defeated Brynäs away 5-2, Timrå at home 7-1 and Mora away 4-1. All wins have been quite easy and myself and many more are impressed by their form. Djurgården has always been strong at home and weak away but this season it's the other way around since they are the best away team of all. Their problem now is that their form is bad with only one win in the last 6 (away against lowly Skellefteå). Other than this it's been some bad results such as 0-3 against Mora at home, 1-1 at home against out of form team Brynäs and in the last round - 2-8 at home against HV71. The goalie Daniel Larsson had a terrible game and you have to wonder what his self-confidence is like after that game. Färjestad have the far better form and advantage of playing at home. In the H2H this season Färjestad beat Djurgården away 4-1 which is also speaking for the home team here. I'm splitting the stakes between two bets. Färjestad -1 AH @ 1.83 Färjestad @ 1.66 bet365 MODO - Mora The home team here are very good in the defensive even without Tommy Wargh and Timander. I watched the game in Timrå last round and they played really well considering they have injuries on some of their best. In this game Fredrik Wargh was injured which might well slow down their offensive. Karol Krizan has also found his game again and was keeping the numbers down in the game against Timrå, another reason to a low-scoring game. MODO are the "under-team" above all. 10 of their last 10 games have ended in unders. Often with only 3-4 goals scored. Mora don't have as many unders but with only 21 goals scored in 10 away games it still looks good. In the games against HV71 and FBK they scored 2 and 1 goals and I expect something like that here with MODOs strong defense and on-form goalie. The H2H this season was played in Mora and ended 4-3 but back then MODOs defense was terrible and the first half of their games they were basically sleeping. I seem to remember Mora being ahead 3-0 in that game before MODO started playing some decent hockey again. This will not happen here, lesson learned. Under 5.5 @ 1.83 Bet365

Re: Euro Hockey Leagues 22-23/11 Färjestad -1 @ 1.83 Bet365 Färjestad when in form almost unstopable, they have a great depth in their roster with four lines that can produce goals, not very common in hockey. Djurgården a limited team in bad form, they play without confidence and determination atm. There's no tougher task in Swedish hockey than this match, I really favour Färjestad to win with two goals or more. Stavanger - Storhamar Under 6 goals @ 1.93 Pinnacle Two evenly matched teams imo, not a match between very highscoring teams, Storhamar have scored 21 goals in eight away games, Stavanger 19 in eight homematches. They don't allow many goals either, Stavanger 17, average 4.5 at home, Storhamar 26, average 5.875. Stavanger 7/8 under the only over was the first match of the season, 3-4 vs Comet, Storhamar 5/8 under, last match ended with a strangely high 4-6 vs Lillehammer. I predict a tough match, I can't decide for a winner, but this match really looks like it should be lowscoring. Furuset - Stjernen under 6.5 goals @ 1.76 Pinnacle A match between twou out of form teams, both with trouble scoring. Furuset have scored ten goals their last five matches, four of them in the homematch vs Lillehammer that ended 4-5, totally 23 goals in nine home matches. Sternen are very poor away, not a win so far, scored 14 goals in eight matches, have allowed 35 which may make this bet look risky, but I can't see a toothless Furuset team scoring many and I sure can't see how Stjernen all of a sudden would start to score. Furuset four under, two push and three over at home, Stjernen 5/8 under, the three ove was twice vs Sparta and once vs Frisk, the two highest scoring home teams in the league. Comet @ 1.80 Bet365 Trondheim at home: 1-0-7 15-35, they have now lost the last seven games, latest one 1-5 vs Lillehammer away. Comet on the other side in the form table: four wins in a row and things are looking bright. Comet's a team that compete for the top four places in the table, Trondheim as usual struggling at rock bottom of the table, also noticable that Comet have won the last six h2h's. 1.80 for awaywin very decent imo.

Milano better rooster of the Italian league, but this evening they will be a lot of key players (Migliore, Mantovani, Kurtz and Evans all injuried). Away win is a value bet, i will try this (small stake). SG Cortina - HC Bolzano SG Cortina -0.5 @ 2.05 (Bet365) Medium Stake. Bolzano in critical moment, in Italy Cup they have lost 4-1 at home against Alleghe and supporters hard protested vs coach Doug McKay. Bolzano without key player (Florian Ramoser), last 5 match away...W 0 - D 0 - L 5. Cortina is a good team and i predict easy home win in this match...home odds are high. Last two match no bet for me. SG Pontebba without 2 key players (Jas injuried and Lefebvre suspended), maybe HC Fassa it could be a nice idea, but this match is hard to predict. Asiago Hockey AS-HC Alleghe is a local derby...here all it can happen. Bye :dude

Sport Ice Hockey
Event Färjestad-Djurgården
Selection Färjestad
Strength 10/10
Date 22/11/2007
Bookmaker/Price Unibet @ 1.70 (Back)
Reasoning Färjestad has really picked up their game after sacking their coach. They have 4 straight wins and it's been confident wins. Last home match they smashed Timrå 7-1. Djurgården might be the best away team in the league, but Färjestad is one of the toughest fixtures u can get. They got hammered at home to HV71 on monday and their confidence shouldn't be too high. 1.70 is a good price imo.
Sport Ice Hockey
Event HV71-Skellefteå
Selection HV71-1.5 (Asian Handicap)
Strength 10/10
Date 22/11/2007
Bookmaker/Price Stan James @ 1.80 (Back)
Reasoning HV71 tops the table and is the best team in the league. Their homerecord is really impressive. 8 reg time wins 1 OT-win and 1 draw. Skellefteå away are 0-4-6 and I don't think it will look any better after this game. Skellefteå still has some injuries which are troubling them. HV71 also has a couple of defenders injuried, but the replacements are good. This game wont be decided by HV71s defense anyway. Clear homewin imo.
Sport Ice Hockey
Event Trondheim-Comet
Selection Comet
Strength 10/10
Date 22/11/2007
Bookmaker/Price Bet365 @ 1.80 (Back)
Reasoning Trondheim has become what I refer to as a punchbag. They never hit back at the teams they're facing. They have 9 losses in their last 10 games with their only win coming against another poor team Stjernen. Comet isn't one of the best teams in the league, but they will definately go to the playoffs. Their form is good with 4 straight wins (1 OT)and I can really see them winning this game.
Sport Ice Hockey
Event Frisk/Asker-VÃ¥lerenga
Selection VÃ¥lerenga dnb
Strength 10/10
Date 22/11/2007
Bookmaker/Price Pinnacle Sports @ 1.91 (Back)
Reasoning It's quite har to seperate these two teams when Frisk are playing a home. I expect a tight match but I think VÃ¥lerenga will be the winning side in the end. I rank them as a better team than Frisk and in these big games VÃ¥lerenga usually steps up one level. As I said, this will be a tight game, but I see some value in this price.

ReasoningSo tonight we will have the next match in the DEL.The Düsseldorf Metrostars will face the Wolfsburg Grizzlys in the ISS Dome.Düsseldorf won 2 days ago with 6:2 in Ingolstadt and after the return of Captain Daniel Kreutzer they play better Ice-Hockey.Also good is that Tore Vikingstad is back with his old form.Düsseldorfs Captain says that he wants to go back to the top 4 in Germany and it is possible with this squad.Wolfsburg is today just the smart oponnent of Düsseldorf but i believe it will be a hard fight for the Wolfsburg squad.Düsseldorf won this season in Wolfsburg with 5:1 so the odds on Düsseldorf Handicap are really nice.

Re: Euro Hockey Leagues 22-23/11 The under went well despite many goals in the last period :) Färjestad were shit today after 4 straight wins. Elitserien sure is strange sometimes.. Small loss and not that un-happy with that after all. Dj_fish: You asked about Modo and their performance today. I can't quite explain it. They do have three players injured but did really well in the last game against Timrå despite lacking the qualities of Timander and Wargh. They really should be able to beat Mora at home, no question. The big issue right now is getting the team to score more goals, you don't win many games scoring just 1 or 2 goals, simple as that.

Re: Euro Hockey Leagues 22-23/11 Slovan to win -1.0 (1.90 @ Bet365) After 5 away matches Kezmarok is playing at home rink. In those 5 matches they have lost to Kosice and Martin (not surprising as both teams are in good form), lost in OT to Slovakia20 (only points for Slovakia20 so far) and won against Trencin and Zilina. It took a lot of luck and Zilina's misses for Kezmarok to win last match. Zilina controlled first period and most of the second, but Kezmarok was patient and won 1:2. Kezmarok started this season with good home performances: in first 8 home matches they have lost only once - to Slovan 1:4. Their fans certainly add some strength to home matches, but nevertheless Kezmarok lost last 3 matches played at home. Slovan didn't play so convincingly at the start of the season, but as time passed by, their performance improved. They have played 12 away matches and won 8 of them (7 of those wins were with 2+ goals margin). Slovan's goaltender Hovi is in great form: only once below 90% in last 7 matches (and only once below 90% in last 8 away matches). With Kezmarok's not so great home efficiency (34 goals in 11 home matches), it's hard to expect that home team will score more than two goals. Slovan, on the other hand, is the most efficient away team with 45 goals in 12 matches. Those two teams played 2 H2Hs this season and Slovan won both matches (3:1 and 1:4). I'll keep the stakes smallish, as Slovan did have some obscure performances this season and Kezmarok will start winning at home again, sooner or later.

Re: Euro Hockey Leagues 22-23/11 Vienna - Graz Over 6.5 (1.90 @ Bet365) This is purely statistical bet. I'm looking at H2Hs played in Vienna and I can't miss this: in last 10 matches, only one was under 6.5 (two years ago they played 4:2). In last 24 matches, only 4 were under 6.5. I know that Vienna has strong defence and that Graz doesn't score a lot, but I'll try some small stakes on over.

Re: Euro Hockey Leagues 22-23/11 Salzburg to win -2.5 (1.82 @ 10bet) I've miss a couple of weeks of European hockey, so I'm not up to date with most of the leagues. But this strikes me as a good hcp. Alba plays as good as the opponents let them play. They have 1 away win, against Olimpija. I'm not totally sure, but I think that this match was played at the hight of Olimpija's problems. Excluding that match, Alba played 11 away matches and scored 16 goals. They are as bad as they were at the start of the season. Just as one thinks that Salzburg finally found their real form they screw it up. But they are still rather efficient at home (43 goals in 12 matches). Hopefully, grim days are behind them and this match will be another routine victory.

Re: Euro Hockey Leagues 22-23/11 Straubing to win -1.0 (1.90 @ Bet365) At first, I was inclined to try 'under' in this match. Reading the news, I found out that Foxes will play without defenceman VanBallegooie (new injury) and captain Kienass (recovering from injury). Duisburg managed to snitch their second win this season, but they are still without a win away. Actually, they score barely over 1 goal per away match. Straubing is in very turbulent position. Before the break, they were second to last with less than mediocre performances. Their GM was fed up and he fired some players and gave final warning to coach Kuhnhackl. It seemed to made an effect as team's performance got better and they have won against Augsburg. Everything looked good at the beginning of the next match against Koln (3 days ago): they had 3:3 in second period. And then everything collapsed. They have allowed 4 goals in 5 minutes and their morale went down the drain. The match ended with plenty arguing within the team and the behaviour of some players was really disgraceful. This match is 'to be or not to be' for coach and (probably) some players. If they don't win (and play extremely well at the same time), some people will definitely be fired. With that in mind, and backed by the fact that they have played well against Augsburg and by the fact that they played well in first period in Koln and by the fact that Foxes are really bad, I'll try home win with a hcp.

Re: Euro Hockey Leagues 22-23/11 In case that you missed the news: DEL will expand to 16 teams next season. Each team will play 52 matches. Teams 1-6 will qualify directly to play-offs. Teams 7-10 will compete for the remaining two places in 1/4 finals. Teams 15 and 16 will play play-outs and the loser will face the winner of second Bundesliga. This means that less matches will be played in the season. As DEL doesn't have some extraordinary quality, this could be a good thing. Players will be more rested (let's face it, there is a lot of 30+ Canadians in DEL and they will appreciate this) and the points will be more valuable (this will hopefully cause some great duels in the finish of regular season).

Re: Euro Hockey Leagues 22-23/11 AAB 1.90@Bwin The main reason for this bet is that these two teams have completly different formcurves. Something is very wrong in Fredrikshavn. They have 7 straight losses and 9 losses in their last 10 games. In last match against Sönderjyske they fell apart and lost 9-0. AAB has 8 wins including 2 OT/pen-wins in their last 10 games. AAB definately holds enough quality to beat the sinking ship of Fredrikshavn. 1.90 works for me. Odense 1.60 / Odense-1.5 2.00@Unibet I'm betting against Esbjerg here. They are a really poor team. They have 14!!! straight losses including 3 OT/pen-losses. Ofc they hold the last place with only 12 points in 18 games. Odense are at 5th place. Their form is good with 3 wins in their last 5 games with the losses coming against top teams Herning and AAB. 1.60 looks really good to me considering Esbjergs dreadful form Leksand-1.5 1.70@Ladbrokes I'm not sure how much value this price holds but considering Leksands homerecord I have to take it. Leksand are 10-0-0 at home with a goal difference of 43-13. They've won 9 of these 10 games by 2 goals or more. Leksand has 12 straight wins. Björklöven are 5-1-4 away which is quite good for this team. Historically they are a very poor awayteam. They have a nice run of 6 straight wins, but they haven't been playing very well in those games. In this game they must be at their best if they should stand any chance. I think Leksand will still have a perfect homerecord after this match. A win by 2 goals or more is likely. Sönderjyske-ToTempo Over 5.5 goals 1.61@Ladbrokes Over usually works fine when Sönderjyske plays and these teams should have no problems in covering this line. Sönderjyske has 7 straight overs and ToTempo has 5 straight games over this line. In last round Sönderjyske smashed Fredrikshavn 9-0. We might not see this many goal from the Sönder-side but I think they can cover this line by themselves. I'm sure Totempo will contribute with a couple of goals aswell. This line looks great to me and the price is very ok!

Re: Euro Hockey Leagues 22-23/11 Bern-2.5 1.73@Sportingbet Top against bottom. Leaders Bern against Punchbag Basel. I only see one possible outcome and that is Bern thrashing Basel. Huge difference in class and I really think we could be in for a goalfest. Bern has 5 straight wins and in each of these games they've won by 3 goals or more. They are 9-0-1 in their last 10 games. Basel has 11 straight losses. I expect Bern to win this game by 4-5 goals at least.
