Same question in the Kelso thread .. Can someone give me some help? Kelso 3:50 Scutch Mill is 11-12 with jockey claiming 8 .. does this mean the horse will carry 11-4? Racing Post says: "On a hat-trick here after two wins under waiting rides at Market Rasen; 8lb higher than for second of them but should make bold bid." The last two races are 10-6 class 3 and 11-5 class 4? How is the horse 8lb higher? Can someone explain to me how is this calculated when the races are different class -> horse goes up in class or down in class. Any articles where I can read more? ;)

Re: Horse Racing Glossary / Q&A And aonther one is 3.35 Sandown .. DONOVAN is the one decidedly on the upgrade. He posted another improved run, despite being beaten, last time and may be able to defy a career-high mark. 10-9 today and 11-3 last time out. How is the 10-9 today career-high mark?
