just looked at the Thurles card & some interesting races here today 2.45 2m 6f chase Forget the past was deemed good enough to take on the best last season in the gold Cup at Cheltenham & finished 10th. Its winning form incl here has mainly been on soft to heavy ground so 1st time up may be vulnerable. Our Ben has a 1st time up record of 1-1-2-4. Has won on any ground & would have won here last season but for a last fence tumble. Is a 3m horse these days & hopefully will finally show that potential in winning some decent race this term as an 8yo. Adamant approach is getting on & would have to be a gallant effort to beat the above 2 today on level weights. Lightonthebroom ran creditably when 15l third to Taranis on Saturday but this too soon to have any chnace of winning here. It does get 10lb off the others & wont be surprised to see it up there in 3rd or 4th. OUR BEN 10pts win @ 5/2 Ladbrokes 2.15 Beginners chase Moores law looks an interesting newcomer to the larger obstacles having taken in 3 wins over hurdles last season & came over to Newbury to finish 10th in the Totesport trophy. carberry on board today & a decent EW price. 8/1 ladbrokes MOORES LAW 2pts ew @ 8/1 Ladbrokes 4.15 NH Flat race Willie Mullins has to be respected with any newcomer on the level, & HARD ACT could be anything but 5/2 is the EP which looks worth a go just based on the stable focus on these type of races. Re: Thurles 08/11 i put the wrong time down for Our Bens race & missed it! forget the past won by a hd from light on the broom 2nd our ben was 3rd. Those were the 3 i expected to be there but not sure how Our Ben ran. Light on the broom obviously took advantage of that weight & Taranis form has been franked.
