Decided to start this again but sticking purely to the horse betting this time. Have put £100 into betfair and will be betting 10% of the bank on each selection. Here is the idea again for anyone who never saw it 1st time around... The idea is to pick out horses, generally short priced ones that should be winning their races but instead of putting them on to win, betting on them to place. 1 bet for today. Bet No1. Leicester 16.20 Welsh Emperor to be placed 1st or 2nd. Stake £10 @ 1.17 :hope

Re: If you can't bl**dy win then at least get placed!! - Take 2 Hi, I have been using a system very similar to this with an 90% strike rate I would recommend a staking plan of carrying on you profit over to the next bet until you reach 10 consecutive and then bank it. Anyway, may your luck carry on

Minted: I'll continue like this for a while perhaps turn off the year before re-assesing this including staking. Was thinking of something similar to what you suggested but stopping when I reach a certain price of say 2/1. Right now onto buisness, you could see this as a warning as I haven't placed the bet myself yet. After a few days without a selection we have one today. I'm going to wait a while and watch the market, hoping to get a better price but will post what I get before the off. Unfortunately I missed 2 winners on Saturday due to work but on the occasions I do miss some I'm sure I'll miss some losers as well so it'll even out over time. Today we have a bet. Bet No2.
