Re: Lay Of The Day Sat Oct 27th Ice Melted 2.45 Aintree. (F/c 4/1, currently 3.85 betfair) Has fitness to prove after 224 days off track, has to be fit and jumping well to make the most of this sharp 20f, the generally good ground would be OK, but certainly not as ideal as a bit of cut, the weights demand at least a repeat of his best and probably a bit better, has several live dangers on bare form and weight combined, and he has to prove that his flop last time was solely down to a long season catching up with him. So they're the negatives. The positives would be that Jonjo can get them fit after a break (pulled the only other time he's returned after a lengthy break), he would be open to improve a bit as a chase this season and has McCoy on his back. So weighing all that up and seeing that he's trading at around 3.85 currently (betfair), then you have to feel that's too short in context with this race and a lay is the only option to be honest. Can win, we all know that, but can only be opposed, irrespective of the end result.
