Lingfield 3:50 Pic Up Sticks One win during the last year and never on AW. Nothing in the form or ratings to suggest anythingnother than a lay, which I'm doing at 9/2or less.

Re: Lay of the Day - Tuesday 23d October Pharaoh's Queen 1.50 Lingfield. Debutant so not the wisest move to oppose, but there are sufficient grounds to take her on first time up. The trip would look to short (7f) with her breeding suggesting that around 12f plus would be more to her liking, and mix that with trainer Ed Dunlop having a poor 1-35 with his debutants this season, and you can be forgiven for thinking she'll find it all a bit too much this afternoon. It's not the strongest race ever run though, so she wouldn't need to be any world beater, but I feel we have enough to oppose her with at current odds of around 7/2 (betfair). Several live dangers too, so all in all a lay much more than a play at the prices, irrespective of the end result.
