asificare
Laughter - (Sadler's Wells (USA) ex Smashing Review (USA)) - 2yrs, Bay filly - Sir Michael Stoute read this after i saw this horse win yesterday very impressive considering the race and conditions thought i would pass it on. Laughter brought back memories of Highclere's champion filly Petrushka when winning the first race on the card at Leicester this afternoon. Petrushka won the same maiden back in 1999 and went on to win both the Irish and Yorkshire Oaks the follwing year, before bringing up a treble of Group One triumphs when winning the Prix de l'Opera on Arc day. Laughter is also trained by Sir Michael Stoute and looked as if she would come on a great deal for her first run. The highly fancied Desert Chill of Godolphin was unable to make any impression and had to settle for second. Jimmy Fortune was very impressed by the filly who will now be put away until next season. The 20 owners in the "Petrushka" syndicate will no doubt spend the winter months dreaming of glory next year
Woodie
Re: one for the notebook Was a nice winner yesterday and should go onto better things although I thought the Godolphin horse ran a blinder and has to be followed aswell. She chucked Frankie off and ran like 3 furlongs to the start before the start, thought she did very well to still finish 2nd.
