Re: A-League Round 7 - Perth vs Adelaide Preview: Perth Glory v Adelaide United Date: Sunday October 7 Kick-off (local time): 5.00pm Venue: Members Equity Stadium TV coverage: Live on Fox Sports 1 (SKY Sport 2 in NZ) Radio coverage: 6PR 882AM, SportFM 90.5FM (both Perth), Fresh FM 92.7FM (Adelaide) Head-to-head Six league meetings: Adelaide - 4 wins, Perth - 1 win, 1 draw Previous meeting Adelaide 2 Perth 1 (Hindmarsh Stadium, Pre-Season Cup finals, August 2007) Past five results Perth: Draw - Draw - Loss - Loss - Loss Adelaide: Draw - Draw - Loss - Draw - Win Analysis Perm three from the attacking quartet of Nathan Burns, Bruce Djite, Paul Agostino and Kristian Sarkies or maybe even play all four - that's Adelaide United coach Aurelio Vidmar's selection dilemma ahead of his side's trip to face winless Perth Glory this Sunday. It's hard to see Vidmar leaving out Djite, the league's leading scorer, or Burns, its joint leading assist-maker, however, the Reds boss, a former Qantas Socceroos striker, will also know Agostino's desperation to close the chapter on recent injury woes. Adelaide's marquee signing, however, faces a late fitness test on his corked calf before being given the green light to resume. Bobby Petta is also still unavailable because of a calf injury. The only time Perth has defeated Adelaide in the Hyundai A-League, Englishman Steve McMahon was coach, hometown nemesis Damian Mori scored a first-half hat-trick and the visitors won 4-2 to push themselves into a playoffs place. Ron Smith is in the unenviable position of needing to find quick answers to the club's current goalscoring puzzle with only makeshift centre forward Jamie Harwell and midfielder Billy Celeski finding the net so far this season. Perth, now the only team without a win after Sydney and Melbourne broke their ducks last week, has struggled for consistency of personnel but Croatian Mate Dragicevic's place must be under serious pressure after being subbed on the hour mark in last Sunday's 4-1 loss to the Phoenix. Fellow striker James Robinson at least has fond memories of facing Adelaide. In last season's semi-final second leg match at Telstra Dome he headed an injury time winner to send Melbourne into the grand final. Harnwell is back in favour after missing the trip to Wellington with Smith also calling midfielders Anthony Danze, David Micevski and Nick Rizzo into his squad. The manager's problems spread to defence this week with the impressive Dino Djulbic suspended for his sending off against the Phoenix. Coupled with the absences of recognised central defenders David Tarka and Hayden Foxe, captain Simon Colosimo might get the job on Djite with the versatile Tyler Simpson a possible at right-back although teenage defender Jimmy Downey will come into contention after being named in an 18-man squad. Squads Perth Glory 50.Tommi TOMICH (gk), 2.Nikolai TOPOR-STANLEY, 4.Simon COLOSIMO (captain), 5.Jamie HARNWELL, 7.Anthony DANZE, 8.David MICEVSKI, 9.Mate DRAGICEVIC, 10.Billy CELESKI, 12.Leo BERTOS, 13.Nikita RUKAVYTSYA, 14.Jamie COYNE, 16.Nick RIZZO, 17.Jimmy DOWNEY, 19.Naum SEKULOVSKI, 21.James ROBINSON, 24.Jordan SIMPSON, 25.
