Hodgey Posted August 17, 2007 Share Posted August 17, 2007 As we know Sporting Odds have been merged with Sporting Bet wef yesterday. When I tried to log on to Paradise Poker yesterday using my existing shortcut the software did some updates and asked me for a new nickname and didn't show the funds I had in there the night before. After speaking with Sporting Bet customer services yesterday it became apparent that what I'd done was create a new Paradise account via Sporting Bet. And also, as a result of the merger, I now had 2 Sporting Bet sportsbook accounts. I can access both sportsbook accounts but can't access any poker client now as I just get a message saying Unable to Connect - Please try later. After speaking again to customer services I've been told to download the poker client again from Sporting Bet and try again. But will this affect the PL exclusive games we play on here? Hodgey when logging into the poker did you try logging in with your new username sent in the email? I very nearly caused the same problem when I logged onto Sportingbet for the first time yesterday (the sportsbook). It asked me to choose a new username and I started to, only to realise that I had the option of keeping my existing details. Because of your trouble I just logged onto my 'old' sporting odds/Paradise poker client and my funds transferred over no problem. I can't help thinking that there must be some way to roll back to your older, more established account than going through this malarkey. When I tried to log into S O Paradise a sign came up saying I already had 3 sites and could not open a new account. No probs here :unsure The version you download from the SpOdds web site should be the same :unsure "Unable to connect" sounds a completely different issue to user ID problems.... In fact I emailed them on Sunday saying it still wasn't working (after they emailed me to say it was fixed) and I got the same generic email response I received a week ago when I first queried it........ The cutomer service is REALLY poor on sportingbet at the minute, even calling them doen't help as they keep saying the usual corporate marketing response. Yep, I and my borthers have had several instances of SO-Paradise-SportingBet poker client stopping working and needing a reinstall to get going ..... however they were nice with their £10 free bet offfer and so I/we continue to forgive them ..... but wish they'd pull their act together .... Having a problem lately in trying to log-in,keeps saying can't connect with the master server. Occasionly i can log in and play but the minute i log off there's no chance of getting back in. Few people have been disconnected on the sit and go tables and you never see them come back at all. This ain't a Boss problem cos i can log into Virgin anytime,just a shame i can't be bothered to transfer cash into it,that is until the Festival game starts.
