RussP Posted August 14, 2007 Author Share Posted August 14, 2007 Re: Nottingham 14/08 8.15 Nottingham 10 now left in this event, a 5f charge in Class 5: Smokin Beau (16/1 Ladbrokes) - a bit of an outsider this one, but the only C&D winner in the field and, without doubt, the stand out performer in the field based on old form. Out of form last 3 starts but now dropped 5lb to a mark 1lb lower than its lowest ever winning mark. Obviously age is beginning to tell, but a reproduction of last year efforts at this time of year would see this horse trot up. Should go well off this mark and in this grade, and has useful 5lb claimer on top. Goes particularly well at this time of year winning 7 from 19 in August.
