putting this thread up in glory hunters, for a few bets a week on the horses. i am finding that big pointers can be had especially on stable jockeys preference of rides/meetings and non riding of the stables runner in the race for another runner for a different trainer. could be a load of kak, not into the stats of wins to rides for a particular trainer, its just the here now and why. a perfect example of what i am trying to explain is the result of the 3.20 at haydock today 15th july. the race was won by balakiref trained by m dods and ridden by d holland. an earlier race the 2.20 was won by royal flynn also trained by m dods. he had put a 7lb claimer on for this, but not used the claimer for the later race and balakiref(royal flynn won easily and was a well backed 3/1 fav). to me this as an outsider looking in looks like a confident statement from the stable, and the 7lb claim was not needed in order for the horse to go close. balakiref duly obliged at 9/2. i spotted this at the last minute and thankfully backed it each way. another for instance was the win of countdown in the 350 at york on the 14th july. tim easterby was double handed in the race with game lad and countdown. david allan the stable jockey had ridden both to victory lto, and both were fancied. he had chosen to ride countdown for the race, and granted tim easterby was not guaranteed to win the race, but this gave me a big pointer to the chances of countdown over game lad. game lad was a point shorter in the betting in the morning at 6/1. countdown won the race at odds of 6/1. so no exact science, no trawling the form, just more of a quizzical look at why would a jockey pick one horse over another, at the end of the day, some of their fees come from a percentage of the prize money, so more winners is more wages! will be posting up a few selections a week(probably), starting with a bank of 100 points, with 1 pont win on each selection, either at sp or early price. feel free to post up any that you may spot:ok tish

Re: tish's eyecatching jockey booking system monday 12th july 9.00 windsor endless summer rpf 14/1 1pt win bit tentative this one, d kinsella is riding, the guy doesn't ride that many winners only 8 so far this season. unless he has been taken off talcen gwyn(s drowne up), he is riding the selection tonight. he has ridden talcen gwyn 11 times in its last 13runs. his record in those 13 races are, 3 wins,2 seconds,and 2 thirds(3rd lto). not a bad record. can't see why he wouldn't be riding it again tonight. this is either a massive negative for kinsella, or a big positive for endless summer. so watch s drowne come and pee on my bonfire! so you can now see why this is in glory hunters and not in racing! but its all good fun.:ok tish
