LAY of the day in here please :ok Firenze 2.45 York Older horses have a poor record in this race and I don't think the track will suit its style of running. Hard to win with a flying finish here, seems to suit the strong galloping horses more that are likely to be running on at the last furlong. Way too short in my opinion. Ground and trip are fine but 9-4 is no value.

Re: LAY of the day ~ 13/07/07 Protector 8.20 Hamilton. ( F/cast 9/2 ) currently 5.2 betfair. Showed improved form last time, but that came on heavy ground, and with it being much faster ground this evening and with a 10lb rise in the weights to deal with, it shouldn't be at all easy to win again. Has several 'seemingly' better weighted rivals to race against, so we have ammo against, so although he can win this, you'd have to feel he's much more a lay than a play after everything considered.
