Re: this dubious game

i maybe a tight bugger but hopefuly nota stupid one:unsure just wanted to learn the game.
Forget about the 'Play Money' tables - they bear no resemblance to 'Real Money' Poker! Most sites have freerolls where you don't have to invest any cash to enter. For example, today on Virgin at 7:30pm there are 2 tournies you can enter for free. Just download the sitefrom here http://travis.bosscasinos.com/re.asp?name=POK&camp=REF5839_0&go=http://www.virginpoker.com, enter your details and register for the V-Points Freeroll or/and the $50 Freeroll at the same time. (you can register from 1:30pm onwards) Any V-Points won can be converted to cash! :ok This is the way that most of us started out! Good luck. :hope TQM

Re: this dubious game Agree with everything TQM has said. Avoid Play tables like the plague. They bear no resemblance to real money tables. For tournament play, there are freerolls on every site. The standard of play is (unless a PL-er is involved ;) ) pretty loose and not very high but a good way to learn your trade. If cash games are your bag, there is a thread somewhere on PL with a link to a free $10. I believe the lowest games on that site were £0.03/£0.06, so your ten bucks will get you started. Beyond that, I would advise to deposit $10 or $20 somewhere, start at the lowest levels, enjoy yourself, and work your way up. That is pretty much how I started and probably everyone else:ok . Good luck!

Re: this dubious game As stated in the previous posts, majority of sites have play money tables they are only worth playing to get used to the software on the site. The best way to start is on the very low limit sit,n,go,s where you only invest the entrance fee some sites have sit and go,s for as low as 50 cents and as you start making money at that low level you gradually move up the levels.
