Interestingly that punters seem to think a low draw is all important, but I take the contrary view and believe that a high draw in a big field like this is just as useful. A competitive heat so I am looking for some value with the double figure priced horses. The one that stands out for me is Charles Darwin, ridden by the useful Steve Drowne. Holds some very consistent form, in the 1st 5 on its last 8 races, despite not having ideal conditions. Had a pipe opener almost 3 weeks ago that will have put this horse spot on for today. The big field should be ideal as the horse needs a decent pace, it tends to idle if hitting the front too soon. All its best form has come at 6f on good ground or better, conditions that it faces today for the first time in 6 races. Can't ignore this at a very backable price of 16/1+.
