Re: Australian Rules Football AFL - Round 1 (30 Mar - 1 Apr) An interesting statistic for West Coast vs Sydney. The last 11 games between the two and neither team has had consecutive wins. So with West Coast winning the premiership, its Sydneys turn - if you bet on those type of things. I know you shouldn't, but its a damning statistic for my dear eagles. One thing I do know is that both teams have their fair share of injuries, perhaps West Coast slightly worse off now that Fletcher has just been injured. If I recall, the Telstra Stadium is fairly small, suiting Sydney's style of player in comparison to West Coasts. However, its the first match back for the premiers and they'll be keen to put on a good performance, while Sydney are generally slow starters (despite what Roos says I think the trend will continue). I think perhaps the off field dramas have affected West Coasts odds and they shouldn't be at 2.40. I might be looking to play West Coast with a handi-cap as we all know how close their games are and I honestly dont see this being much different. Wont post any bets till after the team lineups... and that should always be the case.
