Percentages and horses

Recommended Posts

Hi Despite being new to this forum I am a "grand old man " in the betting game. I bet most sports, thru "hired hands" but have not gotten to much in to the horse racing game. One of the main reasons is this: On most sports its common to "disect" a matchup , say in basketball, soccer and so on, and set % winningchances to the teams... Liverpool - Man U Home win 35 % Draw 32% aWay win 33% etc This is crucial to the decission you make when you place a bet. It determines the value of the bet. I have seen NO culture for doing this in horse racing.....and i just cant understand WHY? I mea, a ton of services advice bets, and they say nothing but "bet this, bet that" not even a minimum odd!! I would like to hire a skilled horse racing tipster to bet for me.....but dont really dare, cause i feel very uncomfortable with tipsters that seemingly would bet a horse at ANY odds placed in front of them. After all odds can go from 8 to 4 in 5 minutes.....and that means at least one of them is TERRIBLY wrong. Any help to understand this would be great! Levi

Re: Percentages and horses cannot understand why you would want to hire someone when there are so many cracking tips given here for free - just take some time to follow the horses and the people giving the tips and I'm pretty sure that even a novice could easily spot those who know what they are talking about. :ok
