I'm not convinced this is a natural fencer judging by his recent effort at donny, when he looked far from fluent on a number of occasions. He wasn't exactly staying on strongly at the finish either. Sossus Vlei is a right monkey. No wins from 13 starts under NH rules so far, but I don't think he is a complete dodgepot and I'm convinced there is a race in him. A reproduction of his effort behind Non So and Tidour at Plumpton in January entitles him to come here with a decent chance in a weakish looking race.
