If anyone's in London and fancies joining us on our adventures, here's the itinerary - I'll be writing up the team's exploits for a magazine article in the future. Sunday February 18th 2pm - Gutshot £20 F/O 8pm - Gutshot £30 F/O Monday February 19th 2pm - Gutshot £20 F/O Evening - choice of: 7:45pm - Grosvenor Victoria £20 F/O 8pm - Big Slick (Purley) £10 rebuy 8:30pm - The Western Club (Acton) £20 F/O Tuesday February 20th 2pm - Gutshot £20 F/O 8:30pm - The Western Club £100 F/O or - 9:00pm - The Equal Chance (walthamstow) £40 F/O Wednesday February 21st 2pm - Gutshot £20 F/O 7:30pm - Grosvenor Victoria £30 F/O Thursday February 22nd 2pm - Gutshot £20 F/O 6pm - Loose Cannon Club (Cannon St) £50+£5 F/O 8pm - Loose Cannon Club £50+£5 F/O (extra fivers go towards bounty on players you knock out) Friday February 23rd 2pm - Gutshot £20 F/O 8:15pm - Rendezvous Casino Brighton £10 rebuy or - 9:00pm - Equal Chance Club £75 F/O Saturday February 24th & Sunday February 25th Welsh Amateur Poker Championships Cardiff Those are the tourneys we'll be going for, plus any cash mayhem inbetween. Day 1 - (full report on blog at some point) - Not the ideal week to be honest - starting a new job on Monday and was meant to be keeping the entire week free for poker. Still managed to make it to the Gutshot for both Sunday games. 2pm - £20 F/O for a meagre 1500 chips starting stack - a huge 95 runners, and didnt take long for it to turn into a donk-fest. I lasted 15 minutes, getting 2 bad beats in a row off the same guy and finally moving all in to donate the rest of my stack. I headed straight out of the club to collect my thoughts until the 8pm game and wonder if I've made a terrible mistake in playing for a whole week ! 8pm - a more manageable 63 runners turn up for the £30 F/O, 2000 starting stack and I'm more relaxed. Pull off a couple of big bluffs, double through and sitting in comfortable if not brilliant position with 4000 chips. Down to 3 tables, blinds racing up now and I take a few small hits - miss the chance to treble through with 66 which trip up on the board after a bloke who's in a hurry to leave goes all in - another caller wins with Ace High and takes the lot. grrrrrr. Finally get blinded out in 20th place with barely more than the big blind left in front of me. Big Slick in Purley tonight for a £10 rebuy - think I may have to hit the cash tables this week if I've any hope of making a profit..... My mates played the entire week with 1 tournament cash-in between them, £100 i think. they both did well on cash tables though, winning about £250 each, but overall I think they were both down over the week.
