The best way to achieve long term profit.....

Ultimately, that's what we are on here for - profit. So, what's the best way of doing it in your opinion? Win or EW? Short prices or longer priced horses? Singles or doubles? Lucky 15's or other multiple bets? Specialisation? 1 bet a day? System based picks? Staking plans? Back or lay? Laying all AK's tips? (oops, how did that get in there?:lol ) Anything else? My personal preference is Win or EW Singles only, on longer priced selections. No bet is no problem. Specialisation is important to me. Although I used to be a big fan of Lucky 15's, my biggest problem with them is 1 loser and, automatically, over 50% of your bets are down. Saying that, I wouldn't discourage anyone from this type of bet as the buzz it gives when you hit 3/4 winners. Just look at lucky old Agnes in her Scoop 6 quest last week. Any thoughts?

Re: The best way to achieve long term profit..... Singles win or each way. Finding what kind of races you are successful in, as per your specialist ideas. ( I hate sprint races) Very important is discipline, I won't usually back odds on and try not to bet under 2-1 unless i'm very confident. In 2005 I wouldn't back a horse in a maiden that had not had a run and that year it was profitable for me. In 2006 I changed tactics and found some massive priced winners from 8-1 up to 33-1, picking unraced horses from trainers with good 1st time out records at decent prices against other short price maidens with a run. I hate them but notice the 5f sprint below: ;)
