Guest beamer Posted March 6, 2004 Share Posted March 6, 2004 Hunt 3.50 Bison King 1pt @ 8/1 General Gossip .5 pt win @ 7/1 With Bison King's trainers SR at the course an immpressive 43%, he's worth taking a look at. The fact that he's a C&D winner on similar ground, making his h/cap debut off a fair 106, with the decent Biddlecombe (17% SR) taking 5lb off his back, makes him a decent bet in my book. Of the other C&D winners; Accepting would probably want it firmer to be seen at his best and Emphatic still looks a touch high in the h/cap, although this looks easier than his last two runs. Money for the Alner horse, but I would like to see a couple of wins from the stable rather than hinting at a return to form. The one I have saved on is General Gossip, from a stable who are showing signs of a revival. He is a stone higher than his last h/cap win and I feel he may need genuine good/soft to be seen at his best, but he could could be more progressive than the rest of the field after a wind op.
