Re: Lingfield 03/01/07 As per ew fancies thread: Vanadium 2.45 Lingfield Distance winner (7f) but last 5 runs have all been over 6f. The last 2 runs at Wolverhampton over 6f both reported Vanadium staying on or running on well final furlong suggesting a step up to 7f may suit. Also up in class to Class 4 today but has won at this level on the flat for this jockey, who does quite well on the all weather (JP Guillambert). Horse is usually dropped in which means drawn 13 should not be a disadvantage although it will need luck in running. Wore cheekpieces last time out and finished 4th and it has the 2nd best Topspeed ratings in the Racing Post. RP reported last time out: "Vanadium, dropped in at the rear from his high draw, was doing some good work down the straight and could benefit from a step back up to 7f." Expected SP of around 10-1. :hope
