Lancaster Posted November 11, 2006 Share Posted November 11, 2006 Re: Croatia - HNL (Nov 11-12) Cibalia - Osijek: Derby match, Cibalia lost last one because penalty was given against them in closing of the game, even thoug h they deserved a point. Coach Matkovic was so furious that he threw few fists on the main referee after the match :D Because of that, he's suspended for the future matches. Osijek continued their bad performance, it's quite unbelieveable what Medjimurje missed in that match who was absolutely a better team and was closer to three points. Anyway, this is a no bet match for me, anything could happen. Kamen - Varteks: Kamen got demolished by Hajduk, they are just getting worse and worse, while Varteks got a lucky win by penalty at home vs Cibalia. Dunno, Varteks is not playing convincing, and Kamen is without a win in last 4 matches. Somehow I think they are closer to victory than Varteks. Medjimurje - Dinamo: Postponed due to NT match in Israel, Dinamo has 3 players who play in first eleven of NT and should get a rest before a such important game. Pula - Sibenik: Again 3.70 for AW is a value. Sibenik wasn't convincing against Slaven but they deserved that point since they had more desire to take it. Pula got demolished against Dinamo in Zagreb, their GK Ivesa is allowing some ridiculous goals lately. Away win is definitely worth a shot at small stakes. 2006-11-11 Rijeka - Slaven Rijeka won their last match at home against Zagreb securing 2nd win in a row for them. The game didn't start well for them, because of Tklacevic's unbelieveable mistake(missing the whole ball while trying to kick it out of the penalty box) Zagreb took the early lead. Still Rijeka managed to pull their heads together and they equalized fast and later scored a winner. Both goals were scored by Nino Bule who is finally showing an improvement in his play. Slaven earned 'only' a point at home against Sibenik in a really bloodless play from both sides with lots of missed chances. Sibenik was more active on the field and they deserved that point. Team news for today's match say that Rijeka will be without defensive midfielders Kerkez and Linic, attacker Sharbini and offensive midfielders Tonito and Mikic but they are welcoming back defender Lerant and winger Rendulic. Slaven can't count on defender Bosnjak who is still injured. Even though Bracun can't count on 5 standard players he'll still field a good team. Bracun said euro cup spot is their aim. Well, if they want that spot they should win games like this. Rijeka is despite their low position on table between top three teams in Croatia and should win this one if they want to start climbing upwards on the table.
