The 2006-2007 college basketball season kicks off tonight with New Orleans facing Vermont. New Orleans is coming off a season they would rather forget. If it wasn't tough enough for them having to play the season after Hurricane Katrina, it got worse when they lost their star player Bo McCalebb in the 4th game of the season. McCalebb was granted a medical redshirt last season for his season ending injury and is now back this year to lead them. New Orleans also has a new head coach to try and spark them on this year. Vermont won their division last year and returns most of that team this year. But in my opinion Vermont last year was not able to make any great strides when they faced teams in higher quality divisions. And in this game they face a team like that in New Orleans.
