Masterplan
Re: Omaha Hi/Lo - Advice? apart from the starting hand not being fantastic. i wouldnt have called that raise. your postflop play is excellent, and you had the absolute nuts. no reason to paly it any different. ubermonkey1
Re: Omaha Hi/Lo - Advice? all looks pretty good to me:ok ,by calling the raise pre flop you are pretty much sure at least one or more others will follow suit so getting a nice pot started. you hit the card you really wanted on the flop with another low so you will have the nut low as long as another low card comes and very possibly the nut high as well with 3 unsuited cards ,so the call was all good there as its got scooping potential:nana :nana . the 5 on the flop gives you the nut high and low :nana :nana so with all that cash in the pot its a good time to push to try to get as many chips off people drawing as possible. a nice blank on the river seals it. so overall pretty much a perfect hand ,apart from the split pot which was unfortunate as i can see why you called, but i really cant see why he called the bet pre flop with 3 4 6 10 all unsuited:eek apart maybe from the heavy pot odds he was getting ,even so his call was pretty poor. mcgin
Re: Omaha Hi/Lo - Advice? I know the starting hand wasn't superb, but the thing I like about those types of hands (A6 + 2 lower cards) is they have great potential for taking 3/4 of the pot against someone if you hit the wheel as you get the 6 on top to more then likely get top straight too. Didn't happen here (and wouldn't have considering the other guys hand). Also the flushing Ace pushed me to call before the flop too as again it adds to the 3/4 strength of the hand. I figured I'd get one or 2 callers behind me and was unlikely to face a raise so gambled a bit before the flop, but it paid off in this case.
