teaulc
well now i have recovered from wednesday/thursday morning,i thought id let you know how i got on... i got to the rendezvous casino, brighton marina quite early to get feel for the place,1st impressions not bad..129 started which made the room a full house, there were a lot of regulars but one bloke i met had come all the way from dartford for his 1st live game,,starting chips were 4000 and started 25/50 for the 1st 45 minutes and then 50/100 for the next 45 mins..after that the blinds went up every 30 minutes,,top 12 got paid and the 13th got paid entry to the live london game on 1st december,,, started well in the 1st hour with a str8 and 2 full houses taking 2 players out..for the next couple of hours made some progress and got up to 20,000 chips by about 1 o`clock am,beginning to think it was time to progress futher and with k/q spades made a big raise which eventually got me to go all in with a player i thought had more chips than me,,got beat by the river but luckily i was left with 2,000 chips and cursing my luck a bit,,3 hands later got 8/8 decided to go all in got 2 callers, flop was club/club/club and with one of my 8`s was a club i was wishfully thinking and :hope especially as i was behind against a/k and a king was in the flop, turn helped no-one and i was really praying to the poker-gods...the river turned an 8 an i was back in the game having tripled up.after that it business as usual and made it to the last 18,at this time i was looking quite comfortable to hit the money when 3 players went out in quick succession..and then i hit q/q ,my downfall, 1st player went all-in with 25,000 and knowing his play thru the evening i put him on a/k the player next to him called, now this player was bullying quite a bit before hand and i put him on max of j/j so really believed i was winning at this and decided to go for it and called also, everyone has folded,,player 1 did in fact turn over a/k but was absolutely dumbfounded when player 2 turned over k/k:wall :wall ,as was the board showed no picture cards at all and although 2 of were out because of the chip sizes i finished 14th,,bubbled the bubble...as it turns out the 13th player cant go so looks like i get another chance next month:dude :dude all in all it was a great night and the goody bag was better than pokerstars at the apat tourney :D :D
